This site is dedicated to the memory of Pete Nash.
Pete Nash was a highly talented and well-known musician born in the East End of London.
He started playing in the early 60s, right at the start of the British Blues boom. He later joined the band of Steve Marriott, playing with the likes of Jimmy Reed & Sonny Boy Williamson, but turned down the chance of joining the Small Faces.
In the 80s he was invited on a month long UK tour as opening act for the legendary Chuck Berry and he was also lucky enough to jam with Mick Jagger in Mustique.
Music was his complete life; from playing, to helping and supporting other musicians and young people, which is why Youth Music is a charity that was close to his heart. He was a fantastic piano player, guitarist and record producer and highly respected by his peers.
He died, aged 63, in August 2010, of ill health.
A special memorial gig took place at prestigious London blues bar 'Aint Nothin' But...' on 28 October to honour the extremely talented and respected musician, Pete Nash, who played alongside the likes of Chuck Berry and Jimmy Reed.
The gig featured his last band, Jerimiah Marques & the Blues Aces, as well as guest appearances by many big name blues musicians and raised a fantastic £1500 for Youth Music.
